RED: When you see the color red, so prominent in our decorations and wrappings, think of the blood. Think of the blood Jesus shed on the cross...for you and me. Think of that when you see the color red. GREEN: Another of the two dominant Christmas colors. When you see the color green...think of life... eternal life. Green is the color of life, and Jesus said He came to give us life abundant and eternal. Think of that when you see the color green. GOLD AND SILVER: When you see the colors of gold and silver at Christmas, think of riches. Jesus left the riches of Heaven to be born as a baby in the most humble of surroundings. Gold is also one of the gifts that the Magi brought to the Christ Child. Think of that when you see gold and silver. WHITE: When you see the color white at Christmas, think of purity. Jesus was sent as the perfect lamb, a sacrifice without blemish. He lived a sinless lift, so that he might pay the price for our sins. Think of that when you see white. PURPLE AND BLUE: Purple and blue are less prominent at Christmas. But, when you see purple, remember it stands for royalty. Jesus was and is the King of Kings. Blue stands for Heaven. Jesus gave up his throne in Heaven to come to earth as a baby. Consider these facts when you see purple or blue. CHRISTMAS TREE BULBS: When you see those colorful Christmas tree bulbs on your tree, they appear to have no beginning and no end. Look and remember that Jesus is part of the eternal Godhead. STAR: Many Christmas trees have a star at the top. The star led the wise men on the long journey and showed them where the young Christ child was residing. When you see the star think about that. ANGEL: Another tree topper, the angel declared the birth of Christ to a group of humble shepherds, who traveled to Bethlehem to see for themselves. Remember this story when you see the angel. CHRISTMAS TREE: Draw a picture of a Christmas tree on paper and what do you get...a triangle, a triangle represents the Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. A Christmas tree is also an evergreen, another reference to the eternal life Jesus came to give.
